The Trip
Our trips are based on being formed by the mountains. We will sleep in tents. We will cook food over a campfire. We will enjoy the silence and sounds of our surroundings.
You will be welcome to relax, read, explore, help prep a campfire dinner, learn backwoods skills, or enjoy the mountain in a way that best suits you.
Our guides will help facilitate the adventure level desired by the group/each individual. No one will be pushed to do something they do not feel comfortable doing. There is no end to the adventures that can be had on the mountain, it only takes someone wiling to engage.
WHAT YOU PROVIDE:
Food (unless you select for us to bring food for you).
Hiking Shoes - broken in (minimum of 10hrs of previous use).
Hiking Backpack (or a backpack you're willing to backpack with).
Large water bottle.
Crew Socks (above ankle!).
A full packing list will be sent to you after you sign up.
WHAT WE PROVIDE:
Tent (2-3 person).
Food preparation equipment.
First aid kit.
Food Planning:
We know that everyone has different dietary needs, so we couldn't imagine making a one size fits all meal package. Instead, we have compiled a list of the options that we personally found best fuel us on our hikes. If you select to have us provide your food for you, we will send you a form to fill out with your preferred choices. We will do the sourcing, shopping, and have it ready for you at the start of the hike.
If you would rather source and provide your own food, we are happy to have you do that. Please keep in mind that weight, size, and how you plan to cook, must all be considered when preparing for a hike. If you are new to hiking, we may ask to confirm your menu, as to assure that you will be properly fuelled and fed during your trip.
